Kinetics Design is a Canadian graphic design company that aspires to bring high-quality design to book publishing at cost-effective rates. Kinetics has designed over 900 books to date. We value the creative experience of reading a hand-held book, while embracing the technologies of the computer age.

Daniel Crack, your key contact, has over 30 years experience in graphic design and typesetting, focusing for the last 20 years on book design. Daniel’s graphic design expertise flows out of his traditional fine art background in painting and drawing. In 1979 he graduated from Communication & Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design. During the next four years, he worked for the well-known designer Don Watt and at Cockfield-Brown Advertising in Toronto. In 1983 he founded Kinetics Design and worked for many corporate clients, including IBM and IMAX films. In 1992 Daniel refocused his business on traditional typography and book design. Through his understanding of pre-computer typesetting, analysis of rare books (many of them in his own collection) and mastery of computerized graphic design, Daniel and Kinetics Design continue to fill bookshelves everywhere with beautifully designed books.

We would like to connect with you
